Trip in Paris - horse racing -
I went to L'hippodrome de ParisLongchamp (パリロンシャン競馬場) last week to watch Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (凱旋門賞).
I'd like to write a detailed blog about it today.
The racecourse is in the west of Paris.
It took about 1 hour from my hotel by bus.
I got there before noon.
Unfortunately, it had been raining since the previous day and the condition of turf seemed to be bad.
It was a little cold, but my heart got hotter gradually.
I walked around for a while because I had a lot of free time until the first race would start at 2 p.m.
This year is the 100th anniversary of Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and there were a few exhibits celebrating it.
I also bought some souvenirs for myself.
I like this tie very much.
Next, I bought betting tickets.
We can buy them via a touch screen and don't need to make a mark sheet like Japanese racecourses.
My betting tickets for the main race were as below. (I didn't buy a ticket for other races.)
Left : Winning ticket of ⑦Chrono Genesis
Center : Winning ticket of ⑮Snow Fall
Right : Place ticket of ②Deep Bond
I bought only tickets relating to Japanese horses.
The quality of tickets was more cheap-looking than Japanese one.
After finishing some activities, the time of the first race came. (This race is not the main race.)
It was lucky that the rain had stopped before the race started.
Just before the race, a performance by a brass band on horses was shown.
I thought it was unique.
An atmosphere during the race was exactly the same as Japanese races.
Most of the audience were shouting.
The first race was held in the 1600m course and the race time was as below.
It took a longer time than Japanese one, which means that this racecourse is too tough.
After watching the 2nd & 3rd race, the time of the main race finally came.
I took many pictures and movies at a paddock.
I was fully exited to see the first-class jockeys and horses.

I couldn't take a picture during the main race because I focused on it.
As you know, the result was not what I had hoped and Japanese horses were not able to get a higher rank.
The winning horse was a German horse "Torquator Tasso", who was not popular and was a dark horse literally.
I regretted that I had not bought a ticket relating to him even though I live in Germany.
My bad sense of betting was international.
I was terribly depressed and couldn't move for a while as usual.
In conclusion, I was able to enjoy this experience except for betting.
I think that I will go there again next year.

京都大賞典（GII、阪神、芝2400m）
Favorite : ⑨Aristoteles (the 1st popular)
・It's a good point that he has got the 2nd & 4th place in GI races. In addition, a combination of this horse and M. Demuro is reliable because this horse won whenever M. Demuro rode him.
・On the other hand, I can't count on other popular horses for some reasons. I think that some of unpopular horses will get a higher rank unexpectedly.
・Considering the above, I bought quinella tickets of ⑨Aristoteles and some unpopular horses.

・I can't ignore two GI horses, ①Schnell Meister (Lemaire-san) and ⑦Danon Kingly (Mr. Kawada). I'd like to include them in a betting ticket.
・As a result, I bought trifecta tickets with ⑫Vin de Garde on the 1st place. I put ①Schnell Meister and ⑦Danon Kingly on the 2nd or 3rd place. Moreover, I chose some horses I'm interested in for the 3rd place.
