I'm so glad to have a chance to write this kind of blog 2 weeks in a row.
First of all, I would like to mention 3 strong horses joining this race. ①Boldog Hos, ③Justin Palace and ⑬Deep Bond gathered most votes as you can see in the following odds. Everyone predicted these 3 horses are more likely to win and the odds difference between the 3rd and the 4th is clearly large.
Therefore, the most important point in this race was how we dealt with these 3 horses. In this regard, my prediction was perfect.
Regarding ①Boldog Hos and ③Justin Palace, please refer to my previous blog for the details of my smart consideration. In this blog, I would like to write the reason why I was able to exclude ⑬Deep Bond from my betting. Since he won this race in 2021 and 2022, it makes sense that his odds were low. However, from my point of view, he didn't look so good as before in his recent races. This insight was completely correct and he was not able to be within the top 3 this year as a result.
Next, as for ⑦Breakup, this is actually the 2nd time to get money thanks to him. He won a GII race in November, which was my last chance to hit my betting last year. Due to this experience, I was able to remember his strength and judge he should be included in my betting.
I have just one regrettable thing. It is about the 4th place horse, ⑪African Gold. As you can see in the odds list, his odds was more than 100. Nertheless, I included him in my betting because he sometimes makes giant-killing unpredictably. My perspective was almost true and he ran well today. However, his rank was the 4th with a small difference from the 3rd horse. If he had got the 3rd place, the dividend would have been more than 200 times and I would have been able to break even in my annual balance.
Anyway, my annual balance finally became within -10,000 JPY. From next week, the spring GI season will start. Now I have confidence in my prediciton and I think I can try GI races in a positive way.
