Today, I had some unlucky events during a travel in Paris. First of all, the train to Paris was delayed 2 hours. Since I had bought a ticket for Palace of Versailles in advance with a specified time slot, I was afraid that my ticket would become invalid. When arriving at the palace, I showed my ticket to a staff with a big concern. Luckily, my ticket was still valid and I was able to enter the palace without any problems.
After enjoying the palace, I went to a hotel which I had booked online. Then, the second issue happened. The reception said “Your reservation was already canceled. I checked your credit card, but it was invalid. I sent an email yesterday.” However, I didn’t receive anything. I was so upset. The staff was also confused. After all, she kindly found an alternative hotel for me. The new hotel was a little bit expensive, but I thought it was much better than nothing to stay in.
Although I was able to survive these accidents somehow, I was so tired today. I hope these unlucky events are signs of lucky Derby tomorrow. I will check the result in a train to Mont Saint-Michel.
