Currently, I'm struggling with hay fever. Since last week, I have a runny nose, itchy eyes and a frequent sneeze. I thought I was lucky to avoid hay fever in Japan in spring, but after all, I have a similar problem in Germany also. I'm still not sure what is the allergen. Anyway, these symptoms encourage me to go back to Japan.
Regarding horse racing, I decided to switch the language of this blog back to Japanese. This is because I will go back to Japan soon and I finally noticed that this English practice is not so useful in my daily life after spending 2 years. As for the contents "Life in Germany" and this opening monologue, I will continue writing them in English in a while.

Travel to France
I went to France last week. Actually, this was my second time to go there and main perpose was to see Palace of Versailles, Mont Saint-Michel and the normal Arc de Triomphe. I originally planned this travel last year including horse racing, but unfortunately it was canceled at that time because of the infection of COVID-19. I finally got a chance to realize this plan except for horse racing.
Palace of Versailles
I already showed some pictures last week. I visited it on the first day of this travel. I used an audio guide in Japanese for 6 Euro, but I got bored of listening to it on the way and I can't remember the explanations now at all. I just wasted money. Instead, I enjoyed looking at some gorgeous rooms and large gardens.
Mont Saint-Michel
As I had heard in advance, it was very far from Paris. Even though I left Paris at 8am, I arrived there at 2pm. The connection from a train to a bus at Rennes was not smooth, which also caused the long trip. That is why I felt a sense of accomplishment when I saw the abbey. As you may know, there is nothing around it other than a wilderness and a sea. I thought this fact makes this spot more spiritual. I was able to observe the inside with a ticket. It was like an exploration in a cave. After walking around the abbey, I ate an omelet just because it is famous there. However, it was very expensive even though the quality was not so good. I decided to think that was donation to the abbey.
Paris
On the final day, I explored the city. I checked Notre Dame Cathedral under construction, Sainte Chapelle and Arc de Triomphe. Unfortunately, since I didn't have enough time and there were many people waiting in line to buy tickets, I just looked at them from outside. I saw some Japanese visitors and I though corona pandemic was over completely.
That's all about the travel to France. The next destination is Switzerland. I will go there next week.
