Travel in the U.K.

I would like to summarize my travel in the U.K. with many photos and short explanations.

Oxford University

We stayed at the dormitory for Oxford University students. This large cafeteria was used for Harry Potter movies. We enjoyed breakfast and we were able to feel like we were Hogwarts students.

Big Ben

We visited the most famous sightseeing spot in London. It was taller than I had expected. We also entered the building and looked at the Houses of Parliament. I used an English audio guide, but the explanation was too difficult to understand due to my poor English skill and lack of knowledge.

Tower Bridge

The light blue of the bridge was so beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to watch an opening bridge for shipping.

Just before arriving at this bridge, we had sudden heavy rain. It was stopped in about 2 hours, but we needed to change our plan a little bit. My colleague said such a sudden weather change is typical in the U.K. and even a weather forecast is also continuously changing. I understood the difficulty of a travel in the U.K.

Marugame Udon

We ate Japanese traditional udon for the first time in a while. We were all excited by a lot of kinds of udon and tempra.

King's Cross station

I remembered this station is used in Harry Potter movies. The platform 9 3/4 was prepared for tourists and we were able to take pictures as if we were going to Hogwarts. In this spot, there was a skillful staff and he threw one side of a scarf just before taking a picture. As a result, the scarf looks to be floating in the air. It was a good service.

Buckingham Palace

We were able to enter the building and look at many luxurious rooms. However, we were not allowed to take a picture inside the building. Please imagine.

Casino

This was my most exciting moment during this travel. Since it was my first time to try casino, I challenged the easiest game, roulette. I selected a table where a beautiful woman was a dealer and I tried to exchange £20 to chips. However, she told me that the minimum bet is £50 and I was so embarrassed. I moved to a table with a lower rate and started roulette from £20. Surprisingly, beginner's luck happened for me many times and my money reached £400! My hands were trembling and I dropped my chips some times. After winning much money, I decided to try again the table organized by that beautiful dealer.

In this casino, we were able to check recent numbers. When I arrived at the table, black numbers was continuing a few times in a row. Looking at this result, I decided to bet on red. However, the result was black and my "first" £50 was gone. After that, I kept betting on red, but the results were always black. I doubted the dealer was cheating. A few minutes later, my money became only £100. Then, I decided to bet the all money on red consistently. Finally, the ball went to a red number and I got £200. Since I had already learned that roulette is a dangerous game through my successive losses, I was able to finish betting at this point.

As a result, I earned £180 in this casino, which was more than I had expected. This was a good experience to study both good and bad aspects of casino.

Abbey Road

I'm not familiar with Beatles, but I visited there because my father loves them. I bought some souvenirs for him. Many tourists took pictures on the famous pedestrian crossing.

Short story at Heathrow airport

My baggage was stopped at a security check before leaving London even though it had been no problem at Frankfurt airport when leaving Germany. The staff said "What is this. It's like a sword!" I answered "Ah, it is a wand. Horry Potter." The staff smiled and I was allowed to go. I guess this conversation often happens especially at this airport.

・I selected him as my favorite in his last race (葵S) and he won, which means he has helped me get money. Therefore, I would like to bet on him again. In 葵S, he won even though he had the heaviest handicap. This result clearly shows his strength.

・Since I have some concerns about horses having low odds, I would like to bet on horses having moderate odds. In conclusion, I selected 5 horses besides ⑤Win Marvel.

・I bought trio tickets, where ⑤Win Marvel and 2 of the above 5 horses.

My favorite : ⑧Sea Wizard (1st favorite)

・For almost all horses, his or her jockey is changed from previous one. However, Mr. Hamanaka rode ⑧Sea Wizard in his last race and will ride him again this time. I hope he knows this horse well and will be able to make this horse run fast.

・In addition, I would like to bet on ⑩Ice Green because he was bred in Northern Farm. In general, such a horse is like a elite and more likely to win especially when he or she is young.

・I simply bought the quinella ticket consisting of the above two horses.
