I came back to Germany from Spain. Since Spain was warm and comfortable, I was surprised at cold temperature when arriving at Frankfurt airport. However, I feel this winter is warmer than last year. My colleagues also say it is warmer than usual. I usually don't like cold temperature, but now I hope it will get colder immediately because I plan to go snowboarding at the end of November. I'm afraid of shortage of snow in the ski resort. All I can do is to pray.
Life in Germany
Travel in Spain (Day1 ~ Day2)
I took a personal holiday on Monday and Tuesday was a public holiday in Germany. During the 4 holidays, I visited Spain. Today, I would like to write about the 1st and 2nd day. Regarding the 3rd and 4th day, I will mention them tomorrow.
Valencia
First of all, we arrived at Valencia airport. We walked around the city and sweat a lot. We found the air temperature was displayed on a street and it said 30C surprisingly. I wore Heat Tech, but it was clearly a wrong decision. Anyway, we enjoyed the tropical atmosphere there.
What I would like to emphasize regarding Valencia is paella. Valencia is known as a place of origin for paella. As you can see in the following picture, the paella was served on the huge frying pan. The combination of rice, seafood and oil was so nice!
After enjoying Valencia, we moved to Madrid and stayed at a hotel there.
Toledo
As soon as getting up at the hotel in Madrid, we went to Toledo. It took about 30 minutes by train from Madrid to Toledo. Toledo is surrounded by a river and has many historical buildings based on various religions. That beautiful scenery and mysterious atmosphere were so fascinating. I was not able to believe it is real.
Madrid
After going back to Madrid from Toledo, we visited a stadium for bullfighting. Unfortunately, the season was already finished and we didn't have a chance to watch a game. However, the stadium was like a museum and we were able to take a look at the inside and learn bullfighting. I felt courage of bullfighters and the Spanish soul.
Besides the bullfighting stadium, we visited famous sightseeing spots like a palace, a square and a church.
The most impressive thing in Madrid was there was a noisy man in the subway. He was singing and dancing in a coach and I was struggling not to laugh. Amazingly, all passengers completely ignored him and they seem to be used to that situation. I thought this was one of Spanish cultures.

In addition, this horse is good at starting and has the best time for the first 200m among the participants. Judging from the trend of this race in the past few years, it is important to keep a front position.
・Lemaire-san is especially good at this race. His condition is not good this year, but he can usually perform well in Tokyo Racecourse. Moreover, since he won a GI race last week, I guess he can ride a horse in a good mood this week. That is why I would like to bet his partner, ⑨Energy Chime.
・I bought the following trifecta tickets, where ⑤Pace Setting is the 1st place and ⑨Energy Chime is the 2nd or 3rd place. For the remining place, I included ⑬Ask Dream More, ⑭Yakushima and ⑱London Plan.

・In this course, horses which start from an inside number and can run fast immediately after the start tend to get a higher rank. ③Queen’s Elsa can satisfy these conditions.
・I also would like to bet on reliable jockeys, Kawada-san and Fukunaga-san. Their horses are ⑩Ballerina and ⑪Aroma de Rosa respectively.
・In addition, I'm interested in ④Two Tails and ⑤Bouton d’Or. Regarding the former horse, I hope a foreign jockey C. Demuro will controll her well. The latter horse is the only winner of a graded race.
