Regarding WBC, I thought Japan vs. Korea will be held on Saturday, but it was my misunderstanding. Even though I was looking forward to watching it tomorrow, I noticed it was already finished when I came home and checked twitter. I was a little bit dissapointed. However, I was satisfied with the result. In my feeling, Korea is a strong competetor. I'm not sure why Korea is not so good recently.
Needless to say, it is very exciting to watch Otani-san's performance. The most impressive thing was he communicated with umpires and players of the opponent team during the game. I guess he is popular all around the world and everyone wants to talk with him. I envy Japanese people who can watch him in Tokyo Dome.
Anyway, I will enjoy tomorrow's game against Czech Republic. I would like to do "pepper grinder pose" in front of TV.
Life in Germany
Pizza party & Champions league
One of my colleagues invited another colleague and me to his house. He kindly prepared home-made pizza and we enjoyed it.
After eating pizza, we watched a football game of Champions league. This game was Chelsea vs. Dortmund. The colleague who was invited to this party with me is a big fan of Chelsea. He explained that Chelsea had spent extremely much money to buy famous players recently. He also added they didn't yet play well as a team even though thay are good players individually. After hearing this story, I thought it was like Giants in Japanese professional baseball.
During the game, we came across a strange situation. After a Chelsea's player missed a PK, that mistake became invalid and he got a PK chance again. According to my colleagues, other players entered the penalty area before the kicker touched the ball. It seemed that the feint which the kicker made caused this situation. In this case, the problem was not only Dortmund's players but also Chelsea's players entered the penalty area. It looked controversial and the commentators maybe discussed this judgement (I don't know exactly what they said because the game was broadcasted in German). I was able to learn the difficulty of the rule for penalty kick.
